Roles for the coordinating team
- To attend Nipper Coordinating meetings once per month during the season)
1. Water Safety / Officials Co-ordinator (James McIntyre)
- mostly about managing the roster for carnivals and for probably to ensure suitable coverage at Nippers – done by James McIntyre last year
- Could probably do with some new tops
2. Equipment Manager (Richard Evenden)
- Ensuring we have enough equipment for training
- Organise equipment for carnivals
- Ensure trailer is packed with equipment required.
- Ensuring the trailer is packed with all equipment following a carnival
- The better racing foamies live in the trailer and only come out for carnivals. Otherwise they will get lost/damaged
- Probably tow the trailer to and from carnivals
3. IT & Communications (James McIntyre)
- Put together the newsletter and any other marketing collateral.
- Manage Team App…setup the carnivals.
- Agree on the approach for signing up people to carnivals. Can be Team App
- THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES THIS YEAR
- Carnival Registrations through LSV systems
- Preparing age group listings for each week
4. Parent Liason (Lisa Ward)/Registration/Membership (Simone Goulding and Justine Creedon)
– Potentially a registration day to assist with membership renewals, payments and new members
- field questions from parent via email (info@)
- field questions on the day from new or prospective members
- chase up payments
- work with IT person to help complete and finalise registrations and payments
5. Uniform Shop – (Libby Schwarzinger, Pauline Pitman, Melissa Phillips, Nikki Muller and Rachel Francis, Sue Jovetic)
- Complete inventory – especially Nippers caps
- Provider listing and contact details – Rachel
- Confirm pricing for old stock
- Determine new stock requirements
- Order new stock (long lead time)
6. Learning and Development (NEEDED)
- Plan bronze/official/IRB training and certification programs and encouraging parents to complete awards (in collaboration with Comms person)
- co-ordinate bronze/src camp (Liaising with Shano regarding courses being held – senior member)
- Awards Entry – Entering the names and awards of those completing S-badges and SLSC awards into the surfguard system.
7. Head Coach (NEEDED)
- coach and the age group managers in technical aspects of the events
- co-ordinate or provide specialist coaching for age group
- set the training program
- co-ordinate the extra training session for the competitions squads
- Potentially – Attend age group managers meetings at carnival day and report back to age managers any important information
8. Age Group Managers/Parent representative (NEEDED)
- Age Group Managers (take Wednesday night training/manage age groups at carnivals)

- ? Coordinating simple meals on a Wednesday evening following training. Does anyone have experience with this?
