Victoria’s oldest club.

Founded in 1910 Half Moon Bay Surf Life Saving club is the oldest in the state. Half Moon Bay receives its name from its crescent shape. The 350 m long bay faces north in the southern corner, then swings around to face west along the northern section. Due to the partially protected nature of the bay Half Moon Bay is one of the most popular recreation areas on Port Phillip Bay.

Club members train daily, some at an elite national level. Our volunteers train hard and race other surf sports competitors around the country culminating in the Australian Surf Life Saving Titles. By putting a heavy focus on the exciting surf sports area our members are prepared for anything, and serve the community more effectively.
